Stepping Stones - Health & Wellness

“Health is our heritage, our right.  It is the complete and full union between soul, mind and body.  This is not a difficult far-away ideal to attain, but one so easy and natural that many of us have overlooked it.” Dr. Edward Bach

The "Bach Flower Approach" uses 38 homeopathic flower essences discovered by the British physician, Dr. Edward Bach, in the 1930’s. They work specifically on the emotional condition of an individual, rather than on the disease or its symptoms.

  • Two people with the same illness may benefit from different remedies, because each person will respond differently to the same problem. For example, one person may react with impatience or anger, while another might feel resigned or depressed.

  • They relieve mental and physical disharmony so that the healing life energy within the body can be enhanced and mobilized to enable healing to begin – the true healing process that starts from within.

  • You don’t have to be ill to benefit from these remarkable remedies. We all go through challenging periods when stress creeps in. At these times, these remedies are invaluable in restoring the balance before symptoms appear.

Lucy Frank, certified Bach Flower Counsellor (Douglas College, Vancouver), uses a holistic approach in her counselling sessions.

  • In your initial session, she will work with your issues to ascertain the remedies that would best work for you. You will receive a bottle of essences, specifically designed for your needs.

  • In subsequent shorter sessions, based on your feedback, she will fine-tune the mix of remedies as you go through changes.

For those interested, Lucy will teach breathwork, the use of the medicine wheel for balancing conflicting life needs and gentle yoga stretches that anybody can do that work specifically on stress. She can also incorporate the remedies into Reiki treatments; a form of gentle bodywork which is both relaxing and healing.
